Who will be crowned Miss West Africa Sierra Leone 2018

The 2018 Miss West Africa Sierra Leone beauty pageant will take place on 26 December 2018 at the Radisson Blu, Freetown. The event is organised by Miss Sierra Leone Universe 2017, Hawa Kamara, under her fashion agency, Hawawa Beauty and Fashion Company.


Below are the six contestants vying for the title.

Janet Ray is a model who believes that her character and charisma will help win Miss West Africa 2018. She describes herself as an interesting, fun and compassionate. Janet hopes to change the perspective that women like her can not make a difference in the society by raising the flag of Sierra Leone in an international pageant. Janet advocates for education and hopes to use her voice to improve the educational system in Sierra Leone.


Mararet Cassel



Margaret Cassell, 24, is a graduate in Home Economics and Community Development at Njala University. Born in Kissy, she enjoys cooking, crocheting, sewing, drawing and surfing. Margaret has completed several internships at WANEP and Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel. She dreams of becoming a supermodel and buildin a charity for Sickle Cell patients, in the hopes of creating more awareness of the disease.


Lilian Kargbo



Lilian Kargbo, is a model with a fun, playful character. Lilian dreams of becoming a role model to young girls, and spends time advocating for the rights of pregnant teenagers and survivors of early marriage.

Esther Yeanoh Kamarah



Esther Yeanoh Kamarah is a final year student of the Milton Margai College of Education. She describes herself as ambitious, adventurous and dramatic. Ester advocates against child labour in Sierra Leone and wishes to represent Sierra Leone in an international pageant to show the beauty of Sierra Leone.


Isha Georgina Bangura


Isha Georgina Bangura is a final year student at the Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, majoring in History and Sociology. Isha advocates against cyber bullying.


Haja Tida Kallay



Haja Tida Kallay is a final year student at the Institute of Public Administration and Management, pursuing a degree in Business Administration. She advocates against sexual harassment and rape.
