“There is no moment of delight in any pilgrimage like the beginning of it.” – Charles Dudley Warner
On our first day in Marrakesh we took a taxi down to the Jamaa el Fna to get a feel of the city and took a horse and carriage ride around its surrounding. Marrakesh is such a beautiful city and I feel like I could spend ages there without ever getting bored. Its quite obvious that quite a lot of thought and planning has gone into making the city what it looks like today as the architecture is beyond amazing, with even the most basic of buildings adorned with beautiful mosaic designs. Another thing I love about Marrakesh is that you could visit it tomorrow or a decade form now and it will still look like Marrakesh. Infrastructural development is always great but if you end up losing the essence and vibe of the city, there really is no point in it.
