Ever so often, after a long stint at work, I love to take a few days to escape to some of my favourite destinations and recharge my batteries. Not only does it give me a fresh perspective on the world, it is a great reminder that no matter how stressful life and our careers get, it is important to take a moment to celebrate our journey and plan for the road ahead. God has a way of working everything out so it is best we make the most of every situation. If you have followed me long enough you will know that I absolutely love Italy; the culture, the language (which I do not speak), the food (I am obsessed with pasta and seafood), the vibe… everything. On this trip I went to Milan, the fashion capital of Italy. My first stop was the Piazza del Duomo (“Cathedral Square”), the main city square of Milan. It is named after, and dominated by, the Milan Cathedral (the Duomo). The Milan Cathedral was a wonder to behold; the design is so intricate, it emphases the importance of attention to detail.
The perfect photobomb…
